I’ve been with BMI for three years, following a career on specialist surgical wards in both the NHS and Saudi Arabia. On my return to the UK, I joined BMI.
What attracted you to BMI Healthcare?
I had a family, and needed to work flexibly. BMI Healthcare could offer me exactly that flexibility, while still allowing me to keep my career on track.
What’s been the most interesting aspect of working with us?
I was asked if I would like to go on BMI’s new six months Anaesthetics – Foundation and Practice course while continuing her day role in recovery. Before I did the course, I didn’t ever go into anaesthetics. Now I’ve been assessed as competent to practice unsupervised, so it has given me access to theatres. It was a very good career move for me.
What are your team like?
Our Theatre Manager always has time for her staff and is very pro-active about offering training. I’m surrounded by colleagues who all have a common goal and they are great fun to work with.
