I joined BMI Healthcare (London Region) in 2009, starting out as a HR Recruitment Administrator, covering 12 hospitals in the region and supporting with the region’s HR and recruitment. I’ve recently had the opportunity to move into a central resourcing role, based in our Kew head office. Before joining BMI, I worked for a wine retailer, recruiting for both Head office and management positions within the stores.
What has been the most surprising thing about working at BMI Healthcare?
The room for growth and development BMI offers. Most companies say they will develop their staff and don't follow through with it, however I have benefitted from the development scheme BMI can offer, and I have seen many of my colleagues benefit as well. Both clinical staff and non-clinical staff are all valued within the company, and it’s a great team to be a part of.
How would you describe the culture at BMI Healthcare?
The atmosphere within the hospitals and head office is a great one. We do work very hard to achieve our goals but we do it surrounded by great teams and supporting teams which I think adds a lot of value in the long run.
